Undoubtfully sexy storytelling
Well, It's not big literature, but it has other qualities ;-). Like in her first book I like Sally Thorne's female characters. They are self confident and always know a perfect bitchy response that sparks up the room and heats up passion. Finally not again these endless depressing thoughts of female protagonists on age, food and too much weight!
These persons - men and women - have other problems to deal with, whether it's Lucy, Joshua, Darcy, Tom, Jamie or Truly and it's authentic how they are described.
So I like most the combination of passion and good storytelling! Why not make it a film? Please, women are longing for it!

Nur mit Mühe bis Kapitel 8 geschafft...
... danach habe ich leider aufgegeben.
Vor allem mit der Protagonistin bin ich einfach nicht warm geworden. Das Buch verliert sich ständig in ihren Abschweifungen, denen man einfach irgendwann nicht mehr folgen möchte und man wünscht sich, dass die Geschichte endlich mal in Gang kommt. Leider war meine Geduld irgendwann am Ende und ich habe das Hörbuch bisher nicht zu ende gehört. Schade...

Boring
Story is boring, no excitement, Darcey is always her old self....the audio book could be cut in half by it's lenghth....you wouldn t miss out on anything. Check the book Intercepted by Alexa Martin. That's a good audio book.

Very boring, never funny
I really loved the witty dialogues of Sally Thornes first book. So when finally the 2nd came out I bought it. But what a waste of money: story was too simple to be told for hours, the speaker had not a very female voice I was never sure who was talking and the worst: never,ever funny nor witty nor surprising. Just boring. Pity!!

Boring!
I am actually planning to not finish listening to it - there are no surprises and the protagonist seems very set in her ways and doesn't strike me as a realistic person.

wasn’t able to hold my attention
While I liked „the hating game“ a lot, this book did not manage to actually really keep me interested in listening. Apart from being somewhat boring another thing that also threw me nearly from the start, was the fact that the author pretends fraternal twins are „copies“ of each other like identical twins, when in truth they don’t share more DNA than normal siblings. I did not have the patience to finish the book. I think the narrator did a decent job though. I really like her voice.
