The Barkery & Biscuits Mysteries

Carrie Kennersly, a veterinary technician, has become known for baking healthful and popular dog treats at the clinic where she works, in the town of Knobcone Heights, California. When a friend moves away, Carrie buys her bakery and converts half into a Barkery to sell her canine delights. But Myra and Harris Ethman, who own a local store selling pet products, hate the new competition. After publicly badmouthing Carrie and antagonizing family and other townsfolk with her big mouth, Myra is found dead with a Barkery biscuit beside her.

Carrie Kennersly, veterinary technician and owner of the Barkery and Biscuits and Icing on the Cake bake shops, feels sorry for her brother Neal's latest romantic interest, Janelle Blaystone. Her beloved dog, Go, was recently dognapped before Janelle came to town. But Go shows up in Knobcone Heights. Janelle confronts wealthy local Ada Arnist, claiming she's the dognapping culprit. Soon after, Ada is murdered. Did Janelle do it? Did Neal? It's up to Carrie to figure out the truth.

Veterinary technician Carrie Kennersly loves both of her shops in Knobcone Heights: Icing on the Cake for human treats and Barkery and Biscuits, where she sells healthy dog treats she developed. A frequent visitor is Jack Loroco, who has been trying to get Carrie to sell recipes to his pet-food-manufacturer employer, VimPets. Recently, VimPets employee Wanda Adler accompanied him to town, apparently wanting a relationship and more with Jack. When Wanda is found murdered, Carrie has to do all she can to find the killer.

As a technician for a local vet and the owner of the Barkery & Biscuits dog bakery, Carrie Kennersly is excited to host a rescue-animal adoption event. She's also excited to be in a relationship with veterinarian Dr. Reed Storme, despite his pleas for her to butt out of the murder cases with which she keeps finding herself involved. Yet when Reed is accused of killing his former veterinary colleague, he seems a lot more agreeable to having amateur detective Carrie butt back in. Can Carrie clear Reed, or does she care too much for a killer?

Ten years ago, Mike Holpurn was convicted of murdering the first female mayor of Knobcone Heights. Shortly after his release, Holpurn puts the whole town on edge by yelling at the former mayor's husband, Henry Schulzer. After Schulzer is found dead, everyone assumes Holpurn is the culprit. Carrie thinks there's more to the story...Holpurn claims Schulzer was the one who killed the mayor.
