Lovisa Cavenda is the teenage daughter of a powerful Scholar and Industrialist (the opposing governing parties) with a fire inside her that is always hungry, always just nearly about to make something happen. She is the key to everything, but only if she can figure out what's going on before anyone else, and only if she's willing to transcend the person she's been all her life.

das Hörbuch war sehr gut, was mich am Anfang ein bisschen gestört hat war der ausländische Akzent von den Bewohner von winterkeep.
sonst einfach eine sehr gut Geschichte. Ich liebe es wie sich Gideon weiterentwickelt hat ( von toxischer Männlichkeit keine Spur mehr)
die starken Frauencharaktere, die Weiterentwicklung von Bitterblue, Sexpositiv auch eine Frau darf egoistischen Sex haben.
Ich hoffe es kommt noch eine Reihe raus.

Aber was für mich persönlich traurig war das Katsa u. Bo nicht dabei waren.

Die ganze Reihe ist wirklich gut und abwechslungsreich. Ich fand jedes Buch sehr spannend und konnte nicht aufhören es zu hören.

It took me a while before I downloaded this one. Although I love all the books of this series, I wasn't sure about this book when I read the introduction. But I was so very pleasantly surprised about the plot and turns of it, that I kind of binge listened it!🤭
Can't wait for the next one! ☺️

The Story is not bad, but it often feels like there is a lot of filler between the actual things that happen. Good written and read. Also written out of different perspectives. For this story, surely necessary, but some Characters make it hard to feel the thrill of the story. Quite some repeating. Very modernised in its view of politics and interaction. While in the first two books it felt like the medieval, now sex is normal, and everywhere, modern technology is brought in, but only on apparently some continents. Politics in form of democracy is normal and to the monarchy an option…
For me, it felt like Kristin Cashore was told to bring some new ways of thinking into the book.
As in the title, don’t expect too much, but is ok to listen too. Bitterblue continues to be an amazing Charakter.
