THE MILLION-COPY INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLER RETURNS WITH A GRIPPING, EDGE-OF-YOUR-SEAT SERIAL KILLER THRILLER.

A face in the crowd. A killer in the shadows…

________

On the dark streets of Edinburgh, a killer is waiting.

When a body is found, it is only the beginning. Soon there will be seven more.

In the city’s hospital, renowned surgeon Beth Waterfall is grieving.

Her beloved only daughter fell prey to a vicious stalker a year previously – and now he’s coming for her too.

Edinburgh’s police are desperate.

After one body comes another, and then another. The brutal deaths are all seemingly unconnected, yet DS Lively and forensic profiler Dr Connie Woolwine know they are dealing with a serial killer – they just need to prove it.

But time is running out, and Beth Waterfall already looks set to be the next victim…

The million-copy international bestseller returns with a gripping serial killer thriller that will have you hooked from beginning to end.

This is a very good book with an excellent twist at the end and something which could be a cliffhanger. I have to admit that I do not really connect with Connie Woolwine, never did really since she first appeared. I prefer the dynamics of Luc and Ava, and really missed another installment of the Perfect series but this is me. “Watching you” is a good book, a bit slow, but still the story is compelling, and once the twist unfolded, the change of perspective made me want to listen to it again. I certainly like that Fields brought all characters together (Overbeck, Ava’s team, Midnight) which gave the story a very nice touch. There are a lot of elements in the book which appear in a lot of crime fiction in our days, such as obsessive stalking and the obsessive characters behind the stalkers. All in all, whoever liked the Perfect series and The Profiler, will love this book. As usual, Robin Laing is simply outstanding and already only for him, it is worthwhile listening to “Watching you”.

Good book, slow pace
