Twenty years ago: a farmer and his wife are cut to pieces by a ruthless serial killer.

Now: a woman is viciously stabbed to death in the upmarket kitchen of her beautiful house on the edge of the marshes.

Then a man called Daniel Kinder walks into Saltern police station and confesses to the murder.

But DI Rowan Jackman and DS Marie Evans of the Fenland Constabulary soon discover that there is a lot more to Daniel than meets the eye. He has no memory of the first five years of his life and has a rather unusual obsession with his mother....

Full of twists and turns, this is a crime thriller that will keep you gripped until the shocking ending.

Well read and we’ll written. Kept me going until the end with a few unforeseen twists.

Brilliant

I had trouble initially as there were too many characters and all were introduced back to back. But after a few chapters I was caught up and I really enjoyed it. Although I had a pretty good idea where the story was heading and the "conclusion" did not make much sense for me personally, I still enjoyed the overall experience and would give other books in this series a try.

Good story

Fascinating and different main but also side character because of whom this story thrives and I just couldn’t stop shortly before the end…
The narrator does a fantastic job and takes you along in the story.

A gripping crime with a twist at the end

The story itself was interesting and good written. The problem is the quality of the recording...it is like the lector was to close to the microphone sometimes and this squishy high noise is soo annoying.

Good story, bad quality
