Allerdings habe ich ab und zu das Gefühl das es doch ganz schön schnell voran geht. Man wird halt mitten in die Geschichte geworfen und bekommt nach und nach wichtige Infos. Das muss man mögen, mir gefällt es :)
Was ich richtig super finde ist der schottische accent welches die Sprecherin imitiert. Zugegeben das ist meine erste erfahrung welche ich in dieser Hinsicht mache und auch wenn es manchmal sehr schwer ist das ein oder andere richtig zu verstehen finde ich es richtig klasse!
Auch wenn man die scjwesteen vom Stimmlage, manchmal überhaupt nicht auseinander halten kann, klappt es dabei auf jeden fall.

World building: 2 stars (but ONLY because I know all the other books)
First of all: I read all dragon gift books and really enjoyed them so far. It's a complex unique world with great characters and romance. Usually L. Hall manages to develop the relationship of the protagonists through great and honest dialogs, hardly any "I say things I don't mean because I need the misunderstanding plot crutch". No focus on sex, but on the development of the characters and their romance.
BUT: look at the publishing dates of aeris and mauris books! 7 books were published in months - and as a reader you feel it!both series are shallow, unrelatable, inconsistent, boring and at parts hardly readable!
To use the fated mates plot, with horrible moments of "I don't trust him, I don't like him, but he's so hot, I can't control myself and kiss him even though it can cost me and my sisters lifes, but he is hot and I want him, but I hate him...." - I nearly threw my kindle against the wall!
So, yes I will give the second book a try (kindle unlimited), if you have to pay I can't recommend this book, its too bad for it. Start with the original dragon gifts book (Dell etc) they are way better.
And to L. Hall: it's okay if you need a down-payment for a house, or an extra boost for the taxes or what ever. I followed nearly 35 books, but not to be presented with this crap. This world of yours is nearly ruined for me, lets see if you manage to kill the mood completely.
