True gem

I read the analog version a couple of times and I just love it, maybe also because I did a similar journey myself, NY-SF-LA-NY in one month, definitely because I like Steinbeck and the mood his book have. In the audio book I liked it a bit less, the voice of the narrator is very fine, but the way he "plays" dialogues, where everyone sounds like a hillbilly, was rather disappointing.
