I liked the story, but the reader was just too melodramatic. I really had to lower the tone a few times because my head was hurting from the Melodramatic tone. She does the male voices very well though... It is just the lead voice that sometimes is too much.

Besser als der erste Teil, da nicht so vorhersehbar wie der Erste. Die Geschichte ist sehr angenehm zu hören.

Gutes Hörbuch

90% of the book:
“Boohoo, everything is my fault...”
“No, it’s not, I burn for you, blah blah...”
“I’m not worthy, sob sob...”
“Yes, you are, I burn for you, blah blah...”
“Whine whine, I’m just a normal human girl... boohoo”
“No, you’re not, I burn for you, blah blah...”
“Oh, I’m a queen? But why, sob sob...”

The first book was okay, and since I wanted to know how the story ends, I listened to the second one too.
The narrator does a good job, but content-wise it’s little more than a TEMU knock-off of S.J. Maas’s ACOTAR. And Abriella’s constant whining gets really annoying after a while.
On top of that, she doesn’t exactly come across as the brightest bulb in the chandelier in this book.
