I really enjoyed the story. But the gender stereotypes used in it are rather unnecessary. In my opinion, it doesn't add anything useful and interesting to it.

The second part leads the plot into great evens with lots of excitement, dissolves open ends and closes the story quite well. I can absolutely recommend it!

Der Sprecher der Reihe ist top! Die Geschichte ist auch wieder gut und fesselnd, mit vielen Überraschungen und Momenten zum Mitfiebern, aber das Ende kam viel zu abrupt. Eigentlich ist es kein wirkliches Ende. Vieles bleibt im Unklaren und eigentlich wurden nur Dinge für den nächsten Band aufgebaut. Typisch für den Mittelteil einer Trilogie, aber ich hatte gehofft, dass Sanderson das übliche Problem vermeidet und tatsächlich eine in sich abgeschlossene Geschichte schreibt, nicht den sehr langen Prolog zum dritten Teil, auch wenn die Geschichte an sich gut war.

Just like the first book in the series this is beautifully written , full of action, love and learning. And then there ist a twist that is set up so well, you really should have seen in coming, but never did

The second book of the Mistborn series has many more twists, turns and surprises than I had expected. What a marvelous story!

Michael Kramer's narration is stellar. He truly brings the story to life, with the wide spectrum of voices and accents he is able to use for all the different characters. Very much worth the listen!

This is in some ways a typical second book of a trilogy - it is less captivating than the first book, develops a new narrative and continues to explore the previous characters while things change.
This book is exhaustingly long, but worth the read. A lot of the story focuses on politics in Lutherdale. It drags on somewhere in the middle but picks up in speed and suspense again towards the last third. The characters we have come to know in Mistborn are growing with their new tasks and challenges. I really liked how they were portrayed and their evolution felt sincere.
This leaves me excited for the third book!
