Important, wonderful book
Everyone should know this book's content. There are other way to obtain most of the information but here you find it all condensed.
However, it's just the basics of critical thinking. After finishing, you should continue to read about logic, statistics, psychology, Bayesian Statistics, information theory, etc.

I like the parts about good & bad arguments logical fallacies. I like that contentious topics like GMO, Creationism, Climate Change were included and thoroughly and scientifically discussed. Greetings from Europe! Thanks for the book! Keep it up!

Best primer for scientific skepticism since Sagan
although I am aware of my bias, for I am an avid listener and follower of the Skeptic's Guide to the Universe rogues since mid 2006, I can't recommend this book highly enough. I think it can easily established itself as the contemporary one-stop-shop for entry-level critical thinkers and in general anyone who is willing to muster up the mental elbow grease to overcome the dangers of being a cognitive red shirt.
bite sized chunks of themes and areas, broken down to a comprehensible level, self-aware and uncompromisingly critical yet remaining the fine balance of telling hard truths but in a non-confronting/non-preachy/non-aggressive/I.e.skeptical dickish way.
the individual adventures of the rogues each paint a very relatable journey, reminding me that even a long term skeptic isn't immune to cognitive biases and logical fallacies and that it is one's duty to confront their own mental traps, to learn how to recognize them, to always be ready and able to change one's mind when presented with new evidence.

Not worth hearing if out of school
Maybe my expectation was too high. I had to stop listening after a short while as the topics transmitted by the text were below the threshold of a teenager at school. This was not what I expected.
