This book was much more than a pleasant surprise. In fact it has instantly become one of my all-time favorites.

Considering that Marcus Aurelius wrote this almost 2000 years ago it is remarkable to see how little has changed. The book opened my eyes and solidified my opinion to a great many universal truths. Definitely worth reading more than once.

In terms of "bang for your buck" I have not come across a better book so far. If you are reading this review right now, get the book you won't regret it.

Not sure how to rate this book honestly. A lot of times I‘m not sure if I got the point. But many things are really nice observations and makes you think about life and how it behaves. What it is made of and so forth. For this I guess it‘s great and has a big re-read value as you easily get bogged down in daily life and don‘t value its beauty. If reading this books does this, I think it‘s one of the most important books I‘ve ever read.
