Great narration

I really love Martin Freemans voice and how he blows life into the characters. But compared to Stephen Fry who read the first book The Restaurant at the End of the Universe sometimes sounds a little flat to me. Plus, the characters have obviously different voices and styles (Zaphod Beeblebrox sounds like an italian gangster) which you have to get used to. Apart from that and the fact that the story doenst really go anywhere until the end I enjoyed it very much!

I feel his voice and style are perfect for the narration of this classic work.
Storywise, I don't feel like saying much. If you like geeky things, you probably already know this book, or will like it if you read it now. If you aren't into fun and philosophy and geeky stuff, go look for another book.

If you love the print books you will also love these audiobooks. Although there is a slight break between the first book and the others as the first book is read by Stephen Fry and the others by Martin Freeman they’re all great to listen to. Whenever I start pondering the madness of life and our existence these crazy books are a real inspiration to me.

als nicht Native speaker ist die englische Version etwas anstrengend, aber es lohnt sich. Dieser subtile absurde Humor trifft genau meinen Geschmack, zumal ich auch schon Fan der Verfilmung war. Der Sprecher übertrifft sich mit seiner differenzierten Ausarbeitung und Darbietung der verschiedenen Stimmen. ich habe es sehr genossen.
