I really enjoyed this audio book and got through it quickly. The only thing that annoyed me a bit was Kristen complaining and being in her head so much in the second half of the book. I understand her and actually see myself in her, but it was getting too much to listen to her whining so much in the audio. There were also quite a few stereotypes presented that I'm not a fan of, but they weren't what the story focused on (like Josh saying "She's mine" as if Kristen was his property). Other than that I loved following along the journey of the characters, particularly enjoyed the parts Josh was narrating, the voice fit him so well and made it feel like a friend was telling me his story.

Ich mochte die Hauptfiguren und hab mitgefiebert auch wenn ich die Geschichte nicht überraschend fand. Bei dieser Art von Büchern ist das aber genau was ich will, die richtige Mischung aus vorhersehbarem Drama. Die Hauptfiguren sind mir an manchen Stellen etwas zu übergriffig, was basierend auf dem Misverständnis ok ist, weil wir als Leser mehr Wissen. Die feine Linie zwischen romantisch und creepy ist aber ein Thema des Genres.

Basierend auf dem Titel hatte ich mit einer Standardgeschichte zur friendzone gerechnet. Bekommen habe ich aber eine sehr unerwartete Story mit vielen schönen und traurigen Momenten.
Achtung: die drei Bücher der Autorin gehören zusammen, ich habe mit dem falschen begonnen und mich dadurch gespoilert. Dieses ist das erste der Reihe :)

Gooood lord. How to review this absolute trainwreck?!? The story is cute, the infertility issue is an interesting detail, the banter is fine and i grinned a lot - and then shit hit the fan and the whole story took a turn that has no friggin place in a book like this. This is teased as a slightly deep romcom - and then...
Boy oh boy...
And then brandon gets into an accident and a bit into his promising recovery - braindead. Funeral. No wedding for sloan and brandon. WHAT?!?
And our heroine keeps deciding whats best for josh despite him pleading begging and trying to make his case countless times and it's so tiresome and unbearable (not in a way that got me holding my breath - but rather in screaming at her because she is acting like a lunatic.)
I didnt finish - checked the reviews again and found out after going batshit crazy over the infertility - gets pregnant. Gotta be kidding me...

So much nope. 3/4 were fine and funny and well done. What a complete waste of a perfectly good story and i loved stuntman mike to bits.
