Where I started listening I thought that the narrator's voice would annoy me. There was still a lot of talent in the use of accents, though. If you can learn to it accept how vaudevillian and melodramatic the narrator takes his job to be, then you can thoroughly enjoy this book.

This book has “aged” really well. I loved it when I read it in the early nineties and I loved hearing it now.
