Die Person von Nurse Callum hätte ich gerne noch weiter entwickelt gesehen. Er wurde als Kind adoptiert und hat Fay-Eigenschaften. Da hat Joy Ellis einige Chancen nicht ergriffen. Aber da das Buch ihr zweites überhaupt ist - geschrieben vor den Krimiserien, die sie bekannt machten - und sie auch selber sagt, dass es nicht so ausgereift ist wie ihre späteren Bücher - dafür ist es schon sehr gut. Da habe ich manch anderes Buch von vielpublizierten Autoren nicht beendet. Dieses hier war bis zum Schluss spannend - trotz Vorahnungen, wer der Mörder sein würde.

Guter Mix aus Krimi, Esoterik und Mystery

I have listened to both books of the series and must say that despite the fact that these were written such a long time ago and are obviously not what Ellis has written since, both books are remarkably intriguing.
Certainly nothing for the very rational reader, you should be a little open to the mystical and esoteric part of the story, otherwise you're probably not going to enjoy it.
The criminal side of the plot in both books is equally apparent, though, and that's why it's fun to listen to.
While I had to get used to the narrator in the first book, as her reading seemed to me a little rushed, I really liked her in this book. Maybe I got used to her, who knows?
Certainly a recommendation for the open minded reader.
