    Beschreibung von Audible

Why we think it's Essential: How nice that Neil Gaiman writes fairytales for adults. And how lucky for us that he tells the story in his own cackling, drawling, hissing, and murmuring voices. My commute, exercise regimen, and 21st century urban existence vanished as I was drawn into Gaiman's story of quest, romance, murder, and adventure. This is not Mother Goose - this is a wondrous world of magic glass, witches, ogres, and unicorns that I didn't want to leave. ? Beth Anderson

    Inhaltsangabe

In the sleepy English countryside of decades past, there is a town that has stood on a jut of granite for 600 years. And immediately to the east stands a high stone wall, for which the village is named. Here in the town of Wall, Tristran Thorn has lost his heart to the hauntingly beautiful Victoria Forester. One crisp October night, as they watch, a star falls from the sky, and Victoria promises to marry Tristran if he'll retrieve the star and bring it back for her. It is this promise that sends Tristran through the only gap in the wall, across the meadow, and into the most unforgettable adventure of his life.

    Absolutely loved it!

As always with Neil Gaimans books, I absolutely enjoyed every second of it; the narration, the story, the ending... The interview at the end was a very pleasant suprise!

    A must-hear!

It is absolutely wonderful to hear the author read his own book with a talent of a skillful actor. Great book, great performance, great fun!

    waste of time and money

exceptionally boring, random figures doing random stuff whilst a lot of words for nothing happening. tell you actually 1 or 2 things whilst no context and logic seems like a first draft for which could be a good story. no twist everything that happens which moves the story along you can guess long before its happes like reading spoilers and then go read the story. chose it due to good online reviews, but i cannot understand anything above a 2 stars. movie review on rotten is more accurate description i have seen
