A lovely tale of being young and growing old. Of regrets and undying friendship. As always, Peter May‘s protagonists seem real, three-dimensional and all too human

Very touching

Peter May is an artist with his detailed and sympathetic description of either People as well as surroundings. I stayed in May in Glasgow close to the Battlefield Road and it was a pleasure to be back home away from home.
The story is so tight knit, it overwhelms you being suddenly within all this tassel and ends so wonderful I am really sad to leave the people and story behind! A wonderful read 👏👏👏
