Nachdem meiner Ansicht nach der erste Band wesentlich zu langatmig gewesen ist, nimmt die Geschichte im zweiten Band ordentlich an Fahrt auf und ist definitiv hörenswert!

Sometimes the fmc acted like a spoiled child and that really annoyed me. Isn't she supposed be a hardened young woman for having survived 12 years in prison? The math isn't mathing. And the mmc is so infatuated with her that he lets her tantrums all slide. I'm not sure if the balance between random scenes (for character development and for us to get to know them) and the actual plot development is optimal. That being said, it is still an interesting enough story. I mean, an Aurora court where the magic is in everything-rainbow? The glimpse on the past was also a nice addition, to let us understand their world a bit more. And the fact that the main characters felt the pull towards each other, but no insta love was involved - yes, thank you.
The female narrator does a pretty good job. The male narrator uses a "breathless" voice that I'm not a huge fan of.
