#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Don’t miss the hit streaming series Reacher!

“Pure, escapist gold . . . Mr. Child’s tough talk and thoughtful plotting make an ingenious combination.”—The New York Times

Six shots. Five dead. One heartland city thrown into a state of terror. But within hours the cops have it solved: a slam-dunk case. Except for one thing. The accused man says: You got the wrong guy. Then he says: Get Reacher for me.

And sure enough, ex—military investigator Jack Reacher is coming. He knows this shooter–a trained military sniper who never should have missed a shot. Reacher is certain something is not right–and soon the slam-dunk case explodes.

Now Reacher is teamed with a beautiful young defense lawyer, moving closer to the unseen enemy who is pulling the strings. Reacher knows that no two opponents are created equal. This one has come to the heartland from his own kind of hell. And Reacher knows that the only way to take him down is to match his ruthlessness and cunning–and then beat him shot for shot. Just one of Child's best books so far, nearly comparable to Killing Floor or Die Trying. Just awesome to listen to.

More than a thousand times better than the movie!

Sorry, but I cannot stand the speaker!
I just tried in vain to buy the book spoken by Jeff Harding, who is my all time favourite speaker. But sadly, the title is not available in Germany.
Cannot say much about the book yet, it is probably not my favourite Jack Reacher story, but the main thing is - I cannot bear the speaker. Contemplating whether to just give up on the book...

Why can we not buy the one spoken by Jeff Harding?

Was hat Ihnen das Hörerlebnis von Jack Reacher: One Shot besonders unterhaltsam gemacht?

I was introduced to Jack Reacher by the movie with the same name. And it was obviously based on this book. I love his character - no nonsense guy roaming freely across the USA, with superhero physical features and smart too.
I enjoyed mostly in this book the fast paced action, it was somewhat faster that in the other books.

Welcher Moment von Jack Reacher: One Shot ist Ihnen besonders im Gedächtnis geblieben?

I guess when the lawyer was dancing naked trying to distract the sniper.

Was wäre für andere Hörer sonst noch hilfreich zu wissen, um das Hörbuch richtig einschätzen zu können?

I listened to all the previous books *eight or nine, and this is a bit weaker than the rest. Not only the content but also the reader was trying too hard when talking for women.

Better than the first Jack Reacher movie
