Though he is treated with cruelty and surrounded by coarseness for most of his life, his pious innocence leads him at last to salvation - and the shocking discovery of his true identity.

unfortunately the narrator sometimes exaggerates the accent that much, that you can hardly understand it if you're not a native speaker. You also have to take your time for this book as the storyline is progressing pretty slowly
