Ich werde mir jedoch keinen weiteren Teil antun.

I have listened to pretty much every half way interesting LitRPG currently out there but never have I struggled so hard with the accompanying "stat/ profile sheet reading" as with this one. Holy fk is it annoying. Some publishers at least put such things at the end of a chapter to encourage easy skipping (like Soundbooth theatre". Here however, such mercy is not given to the listener.

Besides that, promising story that gets better after 10h.

Mein 1. lit-RPG Hörbuch hinterlässt einen mäßigen Eindruck:
Die Geschichte ist unterhaltsam, die Charaktere interessant. Der Protagonist macht viele Entwicklungen durch, was durchaus spannend ist mitzuerleben.
ABER das ganze Leveln, die Punkte, die gesamte Mechanik ist unglaublich zäh und langweilig. Ich denke, das zu lesen ist ok, aber zum Zuhören mehr als anstrengend. Alleine (ohne meinen Mann, mit dem ich zusammen höre) hätte ich nicht über die ersten zwei Kapitel hinaus gehört.

The Story and ideas are great, but the story is soooo slow that is is annoying. It feels like your listening hour after hour but make no progress.

Die Story ist net geschrieben wenn Ihr was zum einfach abschalten wollt einfach hören! aber die Welt ist nicht ausgewogen! Er müsste die ganze Zeit sterben denn er ist auf Level 1 während Menschen Monster etz die schon Jahrzehnte dort sind für ihn unüberwindbar sein müssten.
Entweder er bekommt eine cheat Fähigkeit von Anfang an an die Hand ansonsten macht seine win Schanze keinen sinn!
Auch kommen Szenen oft wie einen fibertraum Rüber.
Auch lernt er nichts wirklich jedesmal wenn er in die nähe von irgendwelchen wissen kommt ist es weg!
Noch lustiger sein ausgebildetes ich hatte keine Schanze gegen das Monster das von Menschen Besitz ergreift und er

sehr gutes Buch, man sollte aber immer 2-3 stunden am stück hören an vielen stellen

Worth it

I really like the story and the world building, the MC can be annoying sometimes but overall its pretty good.
I don't like the presentation though, it makes me fade away with my thoughts (or fall asleep when resting while listening).

Stimmt alles. Streitet sich um Platz 1 in meiner Litrpg-Hitlist. Liest sich nicht wie ein Drehbuch wie so viele andere und ist dennoch niemals langwierig.

Stats and Char Building seems no wehre as prominent as some reviews suggest in my opinion, so all good on that front.
Sadly, char interactions, dialogs and emotions are portrait rather simplistic. Maybe more suited for teens or people not too worried about that aspect of a story.
Overall plot and story seem solid judging from what the first book has to offer.
I’m still on the fence on whether to continue with the series or rather to return to my favourites in this specific genre.
