Joel Leslie embodied the character so perfectly - like it was written specificly for him. It didn't seem like a story read to you by him, but rather like he (as the character) was directly telling it to you.
While it's sad the story has run it's course, I'm so happy that it ends like it does. Any further milking of the storyline probably would have put me off it, so SPOILER:
I loved that I can now believe they are riding into the sunset together...
Can only highly recommend it!

I almost didn't read this book-series because the covers made them seem like pulp fiction or just terribly written sex scenes with little plot. Arden St. Ives and Caspian Hart, however, have a very involved and complicated relationship. The Series is written from Arden's POV and focusses on his personality and finding his place in the world and his love and friends... and it feels like so much more than just "poor boy meets rich, hot man and they have kinky sex"... there are so many warm and adorable scenes, also with side characters, so much heart and humour. couldn't put down the books and had to listen to the audio book on number 3 because I could get this quicker than the physical book and couldn't wait!

Don't junge this series by the covers!

The writing here is amazing, the speaker's voice is spot-on. Confirms my anecdotal data that contemporary queer romance is the genre which best tackles current socio-cultural concerns.

I am so reliefed they found their way to navigate their through past hurt towards a chance together. Because this is what they have at the end of this book.
This story made me so angry at times, confused me, made me laugh at then so happy for the protagonists.
I hope this is not the final book of this series because there are so many things I still want to know. How will Ellory's life look like, and Ilja's and what about Nick and most importantly what will happen to Stein? The future Arden and Caspian will create interests me a lot. So, please let there be more books about this world. Seeing the work Caspian does to heal could be a good representation of a survivor.

This is a wild journey.
