THE TIKTOK FANTASY SENSATION THAT'S SOLD OVER HALF A MILLION COPIES, PERFECT FOR FANS OF SARAH J. MAAS AND JENNIFER L. ARMENTROUT

'I don't choose him. Not anymore. I'm choosing me.'

I was told that being confined was to keep the bad out . . . Until i realized it was about keeping me in'

Midas made me forbidden and weak. Little did he know that I would find my wings and voice - which sings now.

After living amongst the terrifying army of Fourth Kingdom, I find myself, once again, in strange lands and a kingdom surrounded by liars.

But something has ignited within me. Something dark. Something angry.

Then comes King Ravinger.

And the last thing I wanted was my heart to be torn.

Can I really fall in love when the cities around me threaten to crumble and my fate hangs in the balance?

One thing is for sure, I won't be caught in a cage again.

No, this time, it'll be me setting the trap.

Praise for The Plated Prisoner Series
This series has stolen my heart, my breath, my regard for anything else. I've never been so immersed in a story before-never read characters that have felt so real. I've cried, laughed, screamed, thrown my kindle across the room, picked it up again, swooned . . . These characters, this WORLD . . . it's everything. Raven has written a story for the ages, destined to go down as one of the epics
Raven writes with a magic that comes to life on the page. Every single word gleams like gold
This is one of those series that started off phenomenal, and only gets better with every subsequent book.
Get ready to be enthralled from the first word, and begging for more by the last. Raven Kennedy crafts an astonishing world that's filled with captivating characters and a story you won't be able to put down
This series is amazing and I can't recommend it enough. It is one of the best New Adult Fantasy books out there.
TEN GILDED STARS! Remarkably original . . .and the prose, people . . . gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous
An emotional rollercoaster
What I've enjoyed so far about this series is how it's a metaphor about real, emotional issues
I devoured [the] first book and it ended on such a nice cliff-hanger that I am thirsting for the next one

The first two books cannot even be called slow-burn, because practically nothing happened in them. In this book is where the love and steam finally starts. There are some good revelations (partly expected but still well done) and character development. There's humor and action too. I am definitely reading the next one, even though the ending is not such a cliff hanger.
What I didn't like at all is the voice of the love interest! I know it should reflect the character of the guy, but it should also be seductive. I think it got out of their hands. His thinking voice was ok, but his talking voice left a lot to be desired (both when spoken by the woman and by the man).

Love story finally developed

as strong as the prior books

…I hear this agitating, grating voice.

I’m invested in this story, but Aurens narrator kinda sounds like Professor Umbridge.

And now I want to sit back, relax and enjoy my evening when all of a sudden…

I totally love the development of the characters as the story picks up speed between the protagonists. In her third book Raven bestowes much more insights into the history of Auren and I am totally thrilled to see how she deals with the gaslighting from Midas.
However, I was totally shocked by the unexpected change of narrators in this book! Sweet, innocent Fae Auren got transformed to an overly dramatic 14 year old dwarf with a clogged nose. Latter makes me even gag by listening as I expect her to suck it up and swallow any moment if I listen to it with my In ears as I am very sensitive to this. Slate, although having a really hot transformation sounds exactly the same like the pirate and Nazir who tried to rape her. All grumpy, dissheveld and snoddy! So dissapointing! I can not listen any further as it destroyes the total experience. Thus I am switching back to the book and handing back the audio.

Perfect story completly ruined by new narrator

I already had the impression during the first two books, that the female lead wasn’t exactly the brightest (despite her golden glow, haha). The third book made it unmistakably clear: Auren isn’t just naive – she’s downright thick! And that’s seriously annoying.
The author is also increasingly using overly long, dramatic wording for the simplest things.
I rarely give up on a book or a series, because I usually want to know how it ends – but this is it for me. I won’t be finishing this book, and I certainly won’t touch the rest of the series.
One more note on the narrator: her accent is honestly terrible. (Every time she mispronounced “room”, it made my skin crawl.)

That's it for me. I'm done.
