Mich gefreut, dass es nach viel zögern nun doch auch ein bisschen Action gab weil der Zauberer ein paar Fortschritte gemacht hat.

In der zweiten Hälfte geht es endlich richtig los.

Although the third book is sometimes a bit slow I love the characters as they get sharpened through the books. Also the backstory is more and more unfolding giving glimpses of many more secrets to learn. Obviously: Can’t wait for more household appliances to take stage. Bray is genius as always, the bloopers are pure comedy gold!!

I love how it evolved and those outtakes just funny 🤣it is a great story I will miss when I finished the next one.

The first two parts were good, nice flow in the story, but the third one?! Dude, the sidekicks, especially the wizzard homunculy are annoying af. Sad but I could not hear it to the end.

Way to longwinded and boring, sadly... because i liked ex force. convergence is nowhere near as good as ex force.

While the main plot is more and more on hold due to (actually funny) side plots where team dynamics go awry again and again, the main character feels less and less authentic.
Kaz Wolfe doesn’t give the feeling of a 23-year old fugitive, experiencing a kind of bonding he never had before.
The character feels more like a 50 year old Joe Bishop just dealing with another mess in a parallel universe without any clue how that universe works.
For somebody who has been on the run as a loner, the character has way too much nerd lore and knowledge on team dynamics - something that he should be getting from his older companions.
And a 23-year old, that never had much opportunity for romance is not interested in a beautiful 17 (revised edition 19) year old, petite, red-haired french girl from the past?
I beg your pardon?
While Joe Bishop is a believable character in the merry band of pirates series, a bishop-copy in the body of a 23-year old wizard is not.
