Typische Taylor. Spannende, unterhaltsame Geschichte. Der Sprecher ist wie immer super!
Ein Stern Abzug, weil die Geschichte vielleicht doch ein zwei Mal unlogisch ist.

I'm a fan of Dennis E. Taylor's work and as always, Ray Porter is brilliant speaking here. The story is good and further expands the story of the first book. Character development is great.

However, one critisism (but that may come down to personal taste):
Book 2 is a bit too episodical, maybe with 1-2 conflicts too much (which then require too quick of a resolution).

At the Moment my favorite author. As before he delivers promtly. He is a master of building characters and a story on the go. Just right into it. I love it. Never boring, never just meaningless action, no long explanations or character descriptions. He just does it on the way. Always with some witt and good feel. Cool worlds an imagination. I am just waiting for the next book he writes.
Just be aware one needs to read the first book of this serie first. It might otherwise take some time to make some sense out of the story.

Keine schlechte Story bzw Episoden, aber manchmal etwas unkreativ für den Autor.
Insgesamt immer noch recht gut aber weniger packend und unterhaltsam als Teil 1.
Bin mal gespannt ob es einen Teil 3 gibt - reinhören würde ich da auf jedenfalls wieder.

It picks up where the last book ended in more than one way. Loved the first one, loved this one.

Viele coole Ideen und immer wieder hohe Spannung, auch zu unerwarteten Zeiten. Sehr empfehlenswert für Fans des ersten Buches

Noch ein bisschen besser als Band 1 - 4,5 Sterne!

First of, the only teeny-tiny bit of “science-fiction” in this book that didn’t appear in the first one is very close to: Hey look I put a stick in the ground, now it’s a quantum stick! There was obviously very little research on the science side, if at all.

The social dynamics are bordering on Highschool drama and are about that intelligent. The characters continue to be very shallow without any significant development, the villains are unoriginell and resulting conflicts are easily overcome without any real consequences. The biggest concern continues to be their supply of coffee. No one seems to care about what they have lost.

Oh, and the amount of cursing rivals that of the wolf of Wall Street. This is an easy contender for the easiest book to write that I have ever read. I actually forced myself through the last hours of reading just to write this review with as much authority as I can have. And warn any science fiction enthusiast of the crime that was committed here, don’t make my mistake and think it will get better after the first book. Definitely the last time i ever read something from Taylor.

Why did I buy the second book!?

War der erste Teil noch ausgesprochen lesenswert, präsentiert man uns im zweiten einen billigen Abklatsch davon. An sich interessante Überlegungen zum Thema Nation Building sind in einer Story verpackt, die einfach nur langweilig ist. Lasst euch die Freude am ersten Teil nicht nehmen und lest nicht weiter.
