Such a great story and Brendan Fraser does a fantastic job. My 6 year old son was truely captivate by the story.

The story is not just read by the speaker. He makes it come alive! The characters can easily be recognised by the different voices he gives them. He makes pauses at the right time, rises his voice, whisperes, etc.Fantastic experience!

Die Geschichte ist spannend erzählt. Spannt einen Bogen mit einem tollen Höhepunkt um dann in einem packenden Finale noch einmal Zweifel aufkommen zu lassen ob diese Geschichte wirklich gut ausgehen kann . Sehr angenehm anzuhören. Lädt ein zum immer wieder zu hören.

When my 8-year old son could not put his iPod down while listening to this book, I started to think it was like TV - he was just spacing out into another world. So I decided to listen to it myself.

I could not put it down.

Not only does Brendan Fraser have the voice to make a dead person pay attention, but the various accents, personalities and sound effects are a feat in-and-of themselves. I, lke my son, could not put the iPod down, and began to look for things to do just so I could listen longer. (ironing, cleaning windows -- my home has never been so clean . . . )

My son is bilingual and can read German fluently, making The Dragon Rider a great book for him, but as he cannot read English nearly as well, the Audible book is a wonderful compliment to the original version by C. Funke.

Although this book is recommended for children at 10 years of age, I would say an 8 or 9 year old would also have a spendid time with it. Especially for kids who aren't soooooooo interested in books, etc., this book is a wonderful beginning for them.

Eine wunderschöne Geschichte. Meine Tochter liest gerade das Buch und da habe ich mir das Hörbuch gegönnt. Hoffe, daß meine Tochter diese englische Version sich auch anhört. Der Sprecher ist einfach genial! Gar nicht langweilig. Man muss jedoch schon gut Englisch können um alles zu verstehen.
