I enjoyed the audiobook. Here and there it is lacking some depth. But it’s probably difficult to remember the intense years in detail.

Interesting and honest view into his past and mind. It takes courage to speak about some of what he's written down which gives the rest validation in terms of truth and honesty.

Ein Fehler ist aufgetreten. Bitte versuche es in ein paar Minuten noch einmal.
Ich höre Eric Clapton's Musik bereits seit meiner frühesten Teeniezeit, also immerhin seit 30 Jahren. Ich hatte über Beatles-Biographien einiges auch über ihn gelesen und dachte eigentlich immer, ich könnte ihn ungefähr in seiner Persönlichkeit einschätzen. Ich war sehr erstaunt, mit dieser Biographie zu erfahren, welche Höhen und Tiefen vor allem durch die lebenslange Alkoholabhängigkeit bzw. -gefährdung er durchschritten hat und was für ein wildes Leben dieser doch manchmal so phlegmatisch wirkende Gitarrenvirtuose bisher gelebt hat. Alles in allem sehr beeindruckend. Eine Zeitreise durch die wilden Sechziger und nicht weniger exzessiven Siebziger bis in die etwas ruhigeren Bahnen der Gegenwart.
