Die Geschichte ist, wie schon die ersten Teile, unterhaltsam und lustig, manchmal spannend, hin und wieder traurig. Eben kurzweilig. Kein Shakespeare, kein Schiller, aber schön. Allerdings ist dieses Buch nicht so gut gelesen wie die ersten Teile (wieso musste überhaupt eine neue Stimme her?) und auch nicht so perfekt geschnitten. Immer wieder werden ein paar Worte, mal ein halber Satz wiederholt, was sehr irritierend ist.

I bought this audio without looking who the narrator was, as I had wrongly assumed it would be the same person who narrates the first books. Should have known better. Jeff Gelder had previously ruined a book for me and did it again with this one He doesn’t intone or stress correctly, he reads way too fast and thus pronounces words incorrectly. He doesn’t edit his mistakes, just repeats the words. I know authors don’t always get a say who narrates their books, but May Calmes should be allowed to veto this one, because he truly hurts her beautiful stories!

The book is lovely, the audio version not so much 😞
