This ine is for Mary Calmes fans. It has all the ingredients that make her previous books such a joy - but the mix ain't quite right. The romance too syrupy and predictable, the suspense plot not fleshed out. The fan will find enough to enjoy a d look forward to more of this series. But for newcomers I strongly recommend her book Acrobat. A similar theme, tightly written and masterfully executed.

The story is so incredibly sweet, without ever getting boring. There was one scene at the end that I thought was over the top dramatic, I could have lived without that, but it did get all the loose ends tied up at once, so that was nice.
The characters are very well written and stay in character the whole story through, the children are adorable and actually act like children, and the whole story is a well-rounded piece that flows perfectly. I really love it and am so glad that this is part of a series because that means there's more for me to listen to!
The narrator did a really good job, as well, I enjoyed listening to him and he managed to portray the characters very well.
I definitly recommend this to anyone looking for a sweet M/M romance story.
