Philadelphia real estate broker Devyn Winters is at the peak of her career, closing multi-million dollar deals and relishing it. She remembers Devyn Winters as shallow in high school, but now everything about Devyn makes her lose focus. Though her brain knows Devyn is only home temporarily, her heart didn’t seem to get the memo.

💡 It’s about Elizabeth Draper, a thirty-something who lives in a small town called “Dreamer’s Bay” on the coast by the sea. She’s known in her town as a kind and generous person. When something unexpected happens that throws the entire town into turmoil, she meets Devyn Winters.
Devyn lives in Philadelphia and has to return to her home in Dreamer’s Bay because of an emergency. She is a workaholic and lives for her work. When she finds herself in one of the most important deals of her life, she has to return to the place she has avoided for so long.
Obviously, a lot of changes when Devyn returns. This is also the main plotline of the book, which is so lovingly done. All the characters are extremely amiable and drive the plot seamlessly. The main character “Elizabeth” is particularly well done as she is multi-layered and you get a wonderful insight into her feelings and thoughts.
I don’t know how to express the feeling, but I particularly liked the setting in the book with the beach/coastal style in a small suburb. It just felt coherent, as did the portrayal of the residents.
This book covers much, if not all, of what you would expect in a romantic story. Nothing is rushed, and it slowly brings you to the climax. Of course, as in any love story, there is drama, but it feels natural and realistic. The ending and epilogue then rounded off this marvellous story brilliantly, and I felt it was a perfect conclusion.
♥️ I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes romance.
