I had to listen at 1.2 speed, because the narrator spoke that slow. The voices were sometimes really nerve racking. And the most problems the two leading Charakters had were from miscommunication. I don’t like that, but that’s my opinion. The middle and the end was good. It is a nice story, if only the communication wouldn’t be that bad.

Eyerolling conversations at the beginning

Natürlich sind einige Aspekte der Handlung vorhersehbar oder etwas unrealistisch... aber selten hat es eine Geschichte geschafft, dass ich die Luft anhalten musste, weil ich so mitgefühlt habe.
Sehr klar gezeichnete Charaktere, jede Menge Emotionen, wunderschöne, facettenreiche Liebesszenen, leichter Humor und eine Prise "Toleranz und Akzeptanz sind ausbaufähig".

Wir begleiten die Liebesgeschichte von Sutton und Charlotte. Sutton, auf der Suche, sich ein wenig "besser" definieren zu können, trifft in einer Dating-App auf Charlotte. Diese weiß, im Gegensatz zu Sutton, genau wer sie ist und was sie will. Ihre politische Karriere steht an erster Stelle, die Frauen in ihrem Bett sind eine unterhaltsame Begleitung. Für romantische Gefühle gibt es keinen Nährboden... nur hat Charlotte ihre Pläne geschmiedet, bevor ihr Sutton begegnet ist.

Die Story klingt nicht sehr originell, ist jedoch eine wunderschöne Achterbahnfahrt. Gott, ich habe geheult. Und gelacht. Und gehofft.

Die Tatsache, dass Lori Prince das Hörbuch spricht, hat mich anfangs etwas genervt. Charlotte haucht gefühlt in einer Tour vor sich hin und Sutton wirkt manchmal zu naiv. Nun, wo ich das Buch fast mitsprechen kann (ja, ich neige dazu, zu übertreiben), LIEBE ich Loris Stimmfarbe für Charlotte. Und Sutton ist in manchen Momenten einfach naiv. Oder Hals über Kopf unsterblich verliebt.

Kurzum: Mein Lieblingshörbuch.

This was a really adorable story albeit a little bit cheesy and foreseeable. I really enjoyed listening to it.

The narrator did a good job, although it annoyed me a bit that there was some notable inconsistency in the voices used for the characters.

Altogether it was an enjoyable read/listen.

This is my first book by Haley Cass and boy what a start. Very careful created characters with just the right amount of backstory. while listening to it i felt cheerfull to have found it. This book containd themes like politics, toaster oven, dating site and friends with benifits.

Narration: This audiobook is narrated by Lori Price. As always she does a fantastic job. She brings the characters lo life with her voice.
With 21h it’s quit a long audiobook, but it is 21h of bliss.
