The story, the book, the series, is like reading a mythological fairy tale for me.
So incredibly, beautifully written.
So exciting and dreamy and thrilling.
The writing style is incredibly addictive.

With each new book, I realize how obsessed and addicted I still am to this fantastic, mystical, and overwhelming world.

I start reading the book, and everything disappears.
The worries, the work, the chaos that's happening out there in the world.
Just poof, gone.
I can get so deeply immersed in Jennifer's books that you practically have to shake me to make me stop reading.
That's why I love her books so much.
It's the ultimate experience with a story, a book, the characters.

And then there's that unmistakable, dry, sarcastic humor.
Cass is hilariously funny.
The banter-filled discussions between Poppy, Casteel, Kieran, and other creatures are incredibly hilarious and wonderfully portrayed. Casteel, in particular, is the master of sarcastic, banter-filled discussions.

Whatever people write, if you like this fascinating Blood and Ash World story, you'll love this book.
Could it do with one or two fewer strategy discussions? Sure.
.
But nobody can tell mythological action stories as wonderfully as Jennifer L. Armentrout.
I know one thing: I feel wonderful when I read her books.
It's 100% pure enjoyment, and the fun of reading is back for me.

I thoroughly enjoyed this mythological story, as always.
I hope there will be many more to come.
I will never get enough of this dark, unique, and fascinating mythological fiction story.
