In the wake of a crushing defeat, Tisaanah and Maxatarius have been ripped apart. After everything that we learned from the second book and all that happened I was very excited to see how this story concludes. And. It. Did. Not. Miss.
The whole trilogy was an amazing and wonderful ride. Great and interesting characters, captivating plot and intricate world building. 11/10 recommend.

What it is about:
Tisaanah is desperate to rescue Max from his imprisonment, while his memories slowly fade away in Ilyzath. Meanwhile, Aefe is thrust back into the fae lands, struggling to find her footing in a world that feels both familiar and alien.
As Ara’s new queen and the Fae king push their worlds into war, everything stands on the brink of destruction. Tisaanah, Max, and Aefe - connected by their unique magic - may be the only ones who can stop it.


While I liked book 1 and loved book 2, this one blew me away!

The author excels at capturing raw, complex emotions. I loved how Aefe felt so… real. I understand her anxiety, uncertainty, her aggression - how her confusion turns into irritation, into anger and finally into full-blown fury. I can relate so much to that and Aefe's character development was one of my favorite parts of the book.

Tisaanah and Aefe are both outstanding FMCs - strong, selfless, and intelligent. They’ve easily become two of my all-time favorite female characters.

I also loved seeing Max’s transformation, especially his relationship with his brother and how he finally opened his heart completely.

One of the things I appreciated most is the moral complexity of the story. There’s no clear line between good and evil - no simple black-and-white divide. There isn’t even a true “villain” and I found myself understanding and rooting for both sides.

This book shocked me, broke my heart, and put it back together again. It’s both beautiful and brutal.

I especially loved that the ending didn’t just end - it gave us glimpses into the future, making it a truly satisfying conclusion to the War of Lost Hearts trilogy - a fantastic ending to a fantastic series.

Carissa Broadbent has an incredible talent for portraying emotion, and after this, I want to read everything she’s ever written - and everything she will write.

I loved it! Although the male reader was not really for me it was it was an incredibly thrilling story!

the story has some deep filosofical thoughts but it's nothing for fearful people. there are scenes of sloughter which I had to leave out as the description is so vivid that you think you are part of the scene.
all in all, a great work of that autor.

Die Serie gefällt mir sehr gut. Die Besprecher werden zum Glück in den späteren Büchern besser, der Anfang hört sich ziemlich holprig an, aber im dritten Buch find ich beide gut.
