Wow, what an intense book. First of all, Abby Craden did one hell of a job. Really well narrated! Plus, the story isn't a light one, you need to be in the mood to like it. But so so good!

I adore Abby Craden‘s work and of course her voice, but when she speaks with this accent in this case Italian it’s absolut perfection for my ears. The book and the story ist unique and awesome like always from E.J. Noyes. Alone is one of my favorite and now this audiobook too!

I have listened to many audiobooks by EJ Noyes and Abby Craden. In this one ever glorious Abby Craden outdid herself!

A must listen to!

the narrator did an amazing job as always and might be the main reason I listened to the end since the plot held no surprises (imo). the characters felt well developed and though I'm a sucker for happy endings, the lovestory didn't feel very realistic to me and the last third of the book just ... felt unnecessarily complicated. I've listened to most of the author's other books, loved them and therefore had high expectations for this one.. but it just wasn't for me I guess

Ich habe soeben das Hörbuch beendet und bin sprachlos, mitgenommen und traurig.
Sprachlos, weil Abby Craden sich mit dieser Interpretation selbst übertroffen hat. Ich habe schon einige der von ihr gelesenen Bücher gehört und jedes war wunderbar. Ich mag einfach ihre Stimme und was sie damit ausdrücken kann.
Mitgenommen, weil das Buch und die Geschichte von E. J. Noyes so atmosphärisch und einfühlsam geschrieben ist, die Charaktere mich "gepackt" und nicht wieder losgelassen haben.
Traurig, weil das alles, dieser Genuss aus Story und dieser grandiosen Leseperformance von Abby Craden nun vorbei sind. Dieses Erlebnis wirkt in mir nach muss ich gestehen. Und trotzdem bin ich versucht das Audible Book direkt nochmal zu hören. Einfach ein Hörgenuss in englischer Sprache. Absolute Empfehlung!
