The characters are nothing but a heap of cliches, including those that only make a small appearance, like Ava's parents or even her best friend's van.
The steamy scenes are ridiculous at best (Ava basically orgasms the moment he touches her) and some are highly questionable on top of that (non-consensual, painful anal sex that magically turns into extasy and another earth-shattering orgasm).
Why is it that women (!) keep writing books that paint such a picture of female sexuality? Don't you realize what a disservice you're doing your fellow women?
