Love. Magic. Faith. By the autumn of 537 AD, all who are loyal to King Arthur have retreated to a small parcel of land in North Wales. They are surrounded on all sides, heavily outnumbered, and facing near certain defeat. But Myrddin and Nell, two of the king's companions, have a secret that neither has ever been able to face: Each has seen that on a cold and snowy day in December, Saxon soldiers sent by Modred will ambush and kill King Arthur. And together, they must decide what they are willing to do, and to sacrifice, to avert that fate.

After Arthur’s marriage to Guinevere – his betrayal – Morgan leaves Caer Arthur behind, bound for the mist-shrouded isle of Avalon. There, she hopes to find the mother she has never known: Viviane, the High Priestess. Having barely survived the crossing, she fears not only for her life, but for the child she carries – Mordred. Avalon is said to be a sanctuary, an ancient bastion of the Goddess in a land fast falling to the One True God. Yet peace eludes her as a hunger for power stirs.

The year is 1143 and King Owain seeks to unite his daughter in marriage with an allied king. And once blame for the murder falls on Gareth himself, Gwen must continue her search for the truth alone, finding unlikely allies in foreign lands, and ultimately uncovering a conspiracy that will shake the political foundations of Wales.

It is the sixth century. The Romans have been gone for over 100 years, and Britannia is sinking into darkness. Kingdoms clash, and invaders flood the shores – the Jutes, the Angles, and now the bloodthirsty Saxons. Only Uther Pendragon has kept the West safe, defying, too, the rising tide of Christianity. But now, Uther is dead. And if the West falls, all of Britannia will follow. Deep in a secluded valley, hidden from the world, Arthur and Morgan have grown to adulthood under the care of their foster parents.
