I’m Reverend Ben Cooper. Join us live from London, England, as we begin this morning in the presence of the living God, seeking renewed strength and hope through Jesus Christ. There are mornings when courage feels difficult to find. The responsibilities remain, the questions are unanswered, and yesterday’s weariness has followed us into today. Yet Isaiah reminds us that human strength has limits, while the faithfulness of God does not. These words were spoken to a people who needed to remember that the Lord had not forgotten them. Waiting upon God was not an invitation to surrender hope. It was a call to place their confidence in the One whose power never fails. And that invitation still speaks to weary hearts. Whether you are listening in the United Kingdom or Ireland, the United States or Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore or Japan, this prayer is for you. Heavenly Father, God of Israel, thank You that Your compassion is greater than our weakness. Lord Jesus Christ, draw near to the person who feels exhausted before the day has even begun. Strengthen those facing demanding work, difficult responsibilities, financial uncertainty or personal disappointment. Holy Spirit, renew our courage. Teach us to trust without demanding that every question be answered immediately. Give us wisdom to recognise when we need rest, humility to accept help and faithfulness to take the next step. Where discouragement has settled, awaken hope. Where confidence has been shaken, remind us that our worth rests in Your love. Perhaps you are thinking about someone who is far from home tonight. Perhaps you are concerned about the safety of your family, the uncertainty of tomorrow or circumstances beyond your control. Even when the day is finished, the heart does not always find it easy to rest. Psalm 121 is a song of trust in the Lord who watches over His people. It reminds us that the God who made heaven and earth does not grow weary. These words call us to confidence in His faithful care, not to the belief that those who trust Him will never encounter hardship. Across our international prayer family, we remember listeners in Hungary, Romania, Russia, Egypt, Ukraine, Zambia and Liberia. Whether you are preparing for sleep, beginning work or travelling through the day, may this prayer remind you that you are not forgotten. Heavenly Father, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, we place our families and communities into Your hands. Perhaps someone you love has been on your mind throughout the day. There may be distance between you, a conversation that needs healing or concerns about a child, parent, partner or friend. Sometimes the people we love most are also the people for whom we carry our deepest worries. In Joshua 24, God’s people are called to remember His faithfulness and choose whom they will serve. Joshua’s declaration about his household expresses a commitment to honour the Lord. It reminds us that faith should shape how we live and how we treat one another. Across different cultures and family circumstances, the longing to love and be loved remains deeply human. Heavenly Father, thank You for the people You have placed in our lives. Lord Jesus, bring tenderness where relationships have become strained, wisdom where difficult conversations are needed and comfort where separation or grief has left an empty place. Holy Spirit, teach us to listen patiently, forgive sincerely and speak with kindness. Strengthen parents, encourage children, support those caring for relatives and surround those who feel they have no family nearby. Help our homes and relationships reflect Your compassion, truth and grace. May the love of Jesus Christ shape your words, His wisdom guide your relationships and His peace dwell within your home. In Jeremiah 30, God speaks of restoration to His wounded people, including those who have been rejected and forgotten. We honour that promise in its original setting while remembering the compassion Jesus Christ showed towards people who were suffering. We bring before the Lord every person who needs comfort, care and renewed strength. We ask for Your healing mercy, while thanking You for the doctors, nurses, carers and loved ones who provide practical help. Holy Spirit, strengthen those whose bodies are weary and comfort those carrying emotional wounds. Give patience during treatment, courage during recovery and companionship to anyone who feels forgotten. Perhaps your morning has already become overwhelming. Messages need answering, responsibilities are waiting, and somewhere beneath everything else is a worry you cannot seem to put down. You may have prayed about it before, yet the concern keeps returning. Paul’s words in Philippians invite us to bring our requests before God with thanksgiving. They do not condemn those who experience anxiety. Instead, they direct troubled hearts towards the Lord, whose peace is greater than our ability to explain or control our circumstances. I’m Reverend Ben Cooper. Join us live from London, England, as we begin this morning in the presence of the God of hope, asking Jesus Christ to renew our hearts through the Holy Spirit. Perhaps you have awakened feeling that yesterday’s difficulties are still waiting for you. The responsibilities have not disappeared, the questions remain unanswered, and you are wondering where you will find the strength to begin again. Yet the Apostle Paul’s words offer something beautiful. He does not ask God merely to help us endure another day. He prays that believers will abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Christian hope is not pretending that life is easy; it is trusting the faithfulness of God even when the road ahead is uncertain. Across our worldwide prayer family, from the United Kingdom and United States to Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan and the Philippines, we remember that God’s mercy reaches beyond every border. Heavenly Father, God of Israel, thank You for the gift of another morning. Lord Jesus, meet those who have awakened discouraged, those carrying disappointment and those who have almost forgotten what joy feels like. Holy Spirit, breathe fresh courage into weary hearts. Where yesterday brought sorrow, help us recognise today’s possibilities. Where uncertainty remains, strengthen our trust. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” Prayer Themes • Protection • Peace • Trust Welcome to Daily Prayer. I’m Reverend Ben Cooper. Join us live from London, England, as we entrust the coming night to the God of Israel, our refuge and our strength. Perhaps darkness brings a particular worry. You may be concerned about someone travelling, a loved one living far away or circumstances you cannot keep under control. You may be working through the night while others sleep, or lying awake because the world feels less secure than it once did. Psalm 91 speaks of dwelling in the shelter of the Most High. It is a beautiful declaration of trust, not a promise that faithful people will never experience danger or suffering. Jesus Himself refused to use this Psalm as a reason to test God’s protection. Tonight, we remember listeners across South Korea, Hong Kong, China, Israel, Bahrain, Ukraine and Russia. In places of peace and places of uncertainty, we bring our concerns before the Lord. Heavenly Father, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, we place our families, homes and communities into Your hands. Lord Jesus, be near to those who feel unsafe, those travelling tonight and those separated from the people they love. Grant wisdom to those responsible for protecting others and compassion to those responding to emergencies. Holy Spirit, comfort troubled hearts and guide us towards wise, practical steps when safety is uncertain. Teach us to trust Your presence without becoming careless about the responsibilities You have entrusted to us.
