As a European, I have never understood how Donald Trump could ever become a president.
Listening to him talk has changed that. I can now comprehend how people were enthralled by him because he does in fact make himself and his ideas sound great. He's got humour, he's direct.. So for people who do not do their own research, I'm sure he was inspiring.
For those others, who did do their research and did not believe every word he says, its very disconcerting and scary though.
Reading about him is one thing. Listening to him is a whole different story.

Bob Woodward's voice is like a sleeping pill though.

Während die Welt und das Land vor großen Herausforderungen stehen, verbringt der Präsident lieber Stunden damit, gegenüber DEM Reporter der WaPo Bob Woodward zu unterstreichen, dass 1. niemand mehr kann als er, 2. niemand mehr getan habe gegen Covid/China für die Black Community/die Wirtschaft und 3. die Medien ihn unfair behandelten. Vielleicht das Audiodokument einer präsidentiellen Kernschmelze oder einfach nur authentisch Trump. Die eigentliche Frage, wie es fieser Mensch schaffte, sich in den Besitz einer so leistungsfähigen politischen Maschine zu bringen, bleibt noch zu beantworten.
