This is how the world ends: with a single snowflake.  

After a tragic accident at work, all Grady Miller wanted was an escape. He finds it months later with two of his closest friends. Together, the three of them travel south to Prism Lake for the upcoming holiday, where they plan on spending the sunny weekend drinking, grilling, and relaxing.  

But when a series of monstrous blizzards cover the Eastern United States in feet of snow, knocking out communications and making the roads impossible to drive on, they realize their weekend of fun could turn into a lifetime of survival.

Listened to the series twice. I really liked the story and the narrator. Very recommended.

So dark and yet so exciting

Super fun story that gets slogged down by the constant overthinking of the MC. You can't just make an action scene only to have us here the inner monologue of the MC for the next two minutes and totally kill the pace you had going. Otherwise a great story though. the Narrator did very well.

I enjoyed this novella, it's a classic horror story with just enough originality to keep you on your toes. The reader does a great job too, creating distinctive characters and moods without resorting to funny voices. 5 stars!

a well written horror novella

I liked the overall story, it was thrilling and straight to the point. But *SPOILER* that the lake wasn't frozen over enough to hold two people struck me as unrealistic, given the description of how cold it was supposed to be. An apocalyptic cold wave would surely be cold enough to completely freeze over the lake. This happens in Canada, Russia all the time and even trucks can go over the ice. If it wasn't even that cold to completely freeze the lake, it wouldn't be the apocalypse.
