Die Geschichte beginnt etwas langatmig. Im weiteren Verlauf gewinnt die Handlung immer mehr an Spannung und wird zum Ende hin ein typischer Dean Koontz Knüller.Die größte Enttäuschung ist aber die Sprecherin. Ihre Versuche, Männerstimmen nachzuahmen, erzeugen regelmäßig Lachattacken. Frau Rodgers ist völlig ungeeignet, die Geschichte vorzulesen. Sie ist in der Lage, dem Leser jegliche Motivation zum Weiterhören zu vermiesen. Ich habe unzählige englischsprachige Hörbücher mit unterschiedlichen Sprechen abgehört. Mrs Rodgers ist bei weitem die schlechteste Sprecherin. Man kann jedem nur raten, das Buch selbst zu lesen.
