This was my first read by Berlin Wick, and I’m already hooked.
I absolutely loved the meet-cute on the plane—Hudson was a goner the moment he laid eyes on Ember, and honestly, so was I. He’s a total golden retriever main character: romantic, soft-spoken, polite, and emotionally deep. I adored his character from start to finish.
Grayson Owens’s narration is always a treat, but this performance in particular stood out—it was sensual, funny, sexy, and very spicy. He did a fantastic job bringing Hudson to life.
Ember was a likable character, though her emotional distance and constant back-and-forth about the relationship did get a bit frustrating at times. That said, her narration was excellent, and I really appreciated the dynamic between the two narrators.
One of my favorite parts? The narrator bloopers at the end—absolutely hilarious and such a fun bonus!
This audiobook in duet style is highly recommended, especially if you love spice, heart, and humor. I’ll be diving into the first book next and can’t wait for Seamus’s story!
