I loved this book the first time I read it and fell in love with Victorias writing. She makes you feel like you are in the story and now listening to the story in duet audio made it even better. Connor and Samantha were a perfect Grant and Laney and they really made the story come alive. They weren't just reading the story but really telling it.

The slow burn in this book was burning just right.
The tension and banter between sassy Laney and grumpy Grant was everything. Like it said in the dedication Laney is strong enough to rescue herself and Grant lets her but is there when she needs him and I loved their dynamic.
But I didn’t just love these two, the side characters and the new family Laney finds with the Foxx boys and Hadley were also written so well.
