Über diesen Titel
All's fair in love and war at a tattoo parlor—until a stalker enters the picture—in this deliciously dark romance from the author of the Lakes Hockey series.
Even before her father's death, Kelly Everhart always knew Logan Teller was someone she could rely on. Now he's taken over the Black Rabbit tattoo shop and brought her along with him. And while Kelly still finds her former crush and current mentor hot as hell, they're firmly in the friendzone. Or so she thinks....
Logan's been biding his time, but he's no longer leaving anything to chance—not since Kelly started getting serious with her boring boyfriend. And as Logan manipulates the situation and sabotages the couple every chance he gets, Kelly starts to notice all the ways Jason doesn't quite measure up to the man who's always been such a huge part of her life.
When her relationship with Logan suddenly goes from playful and platonic to strictly sinful, Kelly can't stop herself from falling head over heels. But just as things are heating up between them, she starts receiving anonymous messages with information only a few—including Logan—could possibly know about her. Can she trust him after all?
Of Ink and Alchemy is a dark romance with a morally gray MMC and mature content. Narrated in duet style.

Apart from that, perfection!
Chloe Ryan might just be my new favourite female narrator! Loved the style, loved the story.
Absolutely gorgeous

🎧 Narration
First things first: holy hotness.
James Cassidy is always a treat with his deep, masculine, sexy voice—but wow, he was next-level in this one, especially during the spicy moments. Phew. 🥵🔥 He truly brought Logan to life in the most intense way possible.
Chloe Ryan was a new-to-me narrator, and I loved her voice and performance. She captured Kelly’s warmth, strength, and bubbly personality beautifully. The duet narration elevated the entire experience, and I honestly really, really enjoyed listening to this audiobook.

🖋️ Story & Setting
The tattoo parlor setting was enjoyable, though not new to me. That said, for my personal taste, the first 50–60% of the book lingered far too long on detailed descriptions of the shop. It didn’t impact the story at all—and if I’m being honest, I couldn’t have cared less about that level of detail.
The suspense element was a good idea and helped keep me invested, but it could have been executed much better. It felt very predictable, and instead of being woven throughout the story, most of the actual action only happened in the last 30%. Replacing some of the unnecessary tattoo details at the beginning with stronger suspense development would have improved the pacing significantly.

🖤 Characters
Logan… sir. Can one man possibly have more red flags? 🚩🚩🚩
And yet, he was such an intriguing, deeply layered MMC. His manipulative, obsessive, morally gray thoughts and actions were both shocking and strangely hilarious. Possessive, broody, stoic, completely unhinged—but with a big heart and just a tiny bit of golden retriever energy when it came to Kelly. He was hot, intense, and absolutely captivating, especially through James Cassidy’s performance.
Kelly was a wonderful FMC: strong, feisty, kind, sweet, bubbly, and refreshingly down-to-earth. I loved the friends-to-lovers trope, the mutual pining, and their emotional dynamic.
What I didn’t fully understand was Logan’s reasoning behind some of his actions toward Kelly—particularly the marriage situation. While his intentions were technically “right,” the execution felt completely unnecessary and honestly… far fetched. That said, their fight after his confession? Darkly hilarious. I was both horrified and amused—and I kind of loved it.

A dark, spicy, morally gray romance with standout narration and compelling characters. While the pacing and predictability held it back for me, Logan and the audiobook performance made this a thoroughly entertaining listen.
