This is such a sweet story. All characters are well thought out and the range of emotions is well distributed across the story. It has exactly the right lenght for my tastes and the story arch is well executed. All the ifs and buts and whys are actually talked about in this one; there's a wide variety of characters that get their screentime, but the most of it is concentrated on the two main characters, which never leaves you floundering. I absolutely love the story, it feels realistic and gives this saticfying victory feeling at the end (Also, seriously happy about enough of a happy ending that it feels realistic, but not so much that it gets boring. Ratio well met here, as well!). It makes me hope that maybe there's still people in this world willing to try to make it a better place.
I also really enjoyed the listening experience. Both voices are well suited and the depth of emotion comes across really, really well without seeming over the top. All in all, this was a very pleasant listening experience and I'm very happy to have found it! Thank you to everyone who made this audio book possible, I really enjoyed it.

Cool story with a hint of hallmark fairy tale, but the storytelling is flawless and captivating, as is the narration (the two narrators fit well together) with a nice slow burn. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Es hat wirklich Spaß gemacht, dem Hörbuch zu lauschen. Greg Boudreaux und Michael Ferraiuolo geben Jesse und Hayden "Leben". Besonders bei letzteren hat sehr gut gefallen, dass der Sprecher dessen unterschiedlichen Gefühle in der Stimme hatte mitschwingen lassen. Das ließ Hayden gleich noch überzeugender wirken.
