TJ Klune is a master storyteller
The Extraordinaries was the distraction I needed from a terrible world and I loved it for it. I definitely recommend it, if you're in the need for some good, light-hearted fun that doesn't take itself too seriously with just a dash of angst
Klune plays with superhero genre tropes and fan-fiction clichés with the skill of a true fan - completely aware of their ridiculousness but in love with them anyway
The Extraordinaries will stick with me as one of my favourite books of all time. It is a book that this gay nerd would have loved as a teenager, and I think many geeky teenagers across the world need to read. It is The Incredibles meets Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda, it is Marvel meets Ness' The Rest of Us Just Live Here, it is GAY SUPERHEROES . . . WHAT MORE COULD YOU POSSIBLY WANT?!?

This was literally the best audio book I listened to since "Social Intercourse"! TJ Kline and Mike Lesley are working together like Seth and Nick - PG13 and definitely goes up as the story comes along - I just wish it would be the same with the characters - and I'm sooooo looking forward to a continuation! OOOOOOMMMMGGGGGG! - LET LESLEY READ ALL AUDIO BOOKS FROM NOW ON!

The ADHD of the main character is written very accurate. And everything else is so good that I can't decide where to begin.

good god this was fun!! i laughed, cringed and squeaked and theres honestly little more i want while reading a good book. this was so entertaining i can only dream therell be a second one!

The story was entertaining, it contained a lot of fan service and nods towards comic book superheroes and villains, but even if you're not into that kind of stuff you'll get your share of hilarious moments.

I'd say it's a Young Adult story, so don't expect anything R-rated...

Oh and Michael Leslie will be one of my favorite narrators from now on forever. You really did an awesome job again, Michael!

what a fun and light hearted Story! I did enjoy it a lot and finished rather quickly as i was listening every free second I got. the narrator also did such a good job, he was able to bring all the different characters to life.
