50% of the story was quite entertaining and fun. The overall world building is good and characters have enough depth to feel relevant and believable.

On the other hand, there is a rather standard fantasy setting and story going on after the MC reaches the human settlement. Not much hive and swarm after that point.
More focus on the MC and his race would have been preferable.

Side note: The so called 'gender agenda' is negligible to not existent. The MC reacts to his new alien insect egg laying body as any other human would do (I assume) …
The Author tries to use he and she to distinguish between 'his' human mind and 'her' insect instincts in some chapters. I thought this was well written.

some 60/40 thing for me

It's a book with high quality writing and a good voice actor.
The book is pretty unique as it doesn't leave out the dirty parts of reincarnating as an alien, like how the alien eggs are made...
The story is also pretty solid, nothing too unexpected but till with a twist here and there.
The character are realistic and evolve in a pleasant way throughout the book.

All in all I can really recommend giving it a read!
(Especially if you like fantasy and swarm behavior. )

The concept and characters are good (some more than other's of course), the pacing and progression is also solid.
Despite the crazy situations and conflicts the Mc is in, his/her reaction are believable. The ability he/she has are potentially busted but have enough limitations and conditions, so that tension can exist.
The voice actor also does a good job.
All in all I am excited for the next book.

An sich ok, aber man fragt sich an mehreren Stellen, ob der Autor 12 Jahre alt ist, zum Beispiel bei den häufigen Stellen, an denen der MC flucht, was zum fremdschämen ist.

I think getting a second female narrator for Mark's voice would really help drive home the dysphoria but other than that it was very well done
