The Enemy is the big unknown and thats fine too.
The military scenes are good. Everybody that did some kind of basic training will recognize it. The talks of the grizzled Veterans are great I also believe the reader is doing a great job there.
For me it is like reading/rediscovering the Joy of reading Battletech when Battletech was cool. No surprise here given the author.
Absolutely a recommedation.
