💡 This book is straightforward, and the plot is also entertaining. I’m one of the few who love first-person narratives. Sure, you only get one person’s point of view, but it’s far more in-depth. In this story, I liked the transformation of the main character, Alice, who first appears as a super posh businesswoman, but later changes into the person she always hid because of self-doubt. Specific plots also reminded me of “In the Distance There’s Light” by the same author, Harper Bliss, which I had bought before.
♥️ Overall, I can say that I liked this book, and I came to love the main character, Alice. But, for me, it's not on the same level as “In the Distance There’s Light”. Finally, I must add that Harper Bliss is one of a few authors who tell age-gap stories absolute beautifully and realistically. Thank you.

Story was good, yes a bit stressful at times, age gap problems are real, espacially when you Date the daughter of your best friend.
I didn‘t like that the acceptance only came in because of a possible cancer diagnose.
But all in all this was a nice story with a little spicy content ;)
