The narrator is, as Lady Hardcastle would say, an absolute poppet.
Good fun, though I had trouble getting into it.

Das Altenglisch, das gelegentlich zitiert wird, klingt sehr interessant, erinnert ein bißchen an Mittelhochdeutsch, ähnlich rauh und unverständlich.
Und natürlich hab ich das EBook nebenbei offen gehabt: der Dialekt vom West Country klingt zwar sehr hübsch, war aber im Lehrplan meiner Schule nicht enthalten und ist dementsprechend schwierig zu verstehen.
Aber die Geschichte selber - "Oh, my"!!! Sieht so klar aus an manchen Stellen und man fragt sich, was da noch so lang dauern soll - und schon gibt es Komplikationen 😉
Ich liebe es, Elizabeth Knowelden zuzuhören, sie schafft es, einerseits sehr klar zu sprechen, andererseits aber auch immer deutlich zu machen, welche Person gerade spricht - und die verschiedenen Dialekte klingen absolut echt.
Ich hoffe, T.E. Kinsey schafft es, sowohl bei den Dizzy Heights als auch bei Lady Hardcastle neue Abenteuer herauszubringen.
