The author does admit to his crimes and claims to own them, while simultaneously blaming the entire hierarchy from himself upwards for not stopping him and letting him act in violation of moral, institutional and legal rules. He makes himself appear to have acted exclusively out of care for his coworkers and the fear and pressure put on him by his employer or people up the hierarchy. Not very believable.

The book is interesting for a relatively detailed walk-through of the case and perhaps as a lesson on morality.

As for the business part, workings of trading, markets, etc, this is not a text book to learn from. The personal story is the center.
